How to enter answers

  • For percent answers, enter just the number: 40 (a trailing % is also accepted).
  • For fraction answers, use a slash in lowest terms: 3/5.
  • Decimals are fine too: 0.6 equals 3/5.

2 Problem types

The generator mixes these types at random.

Decimal to percent

Slide the point two places right.

0.4 → 40%

Percent to decimal

Slide the point two places left.

8% → 0.08

Fraction to percent

Divide, then slide right two.

3/8 → 37.5%

Percent to fraction

Write over 100 and simplify.

60% → 3/5

Benchmark percents

50%, 25%, 10%, 1% from memory.

25% of 80 = 20

Percent of a number

Convert to a decimal, then multiply.

15% of 80 = 12

What percent?

Part ÷ whole, then convert.
