Skill: graphing-lines

Graphing Steps Lab

Build a line one step at a time: plot the y-intercept, step out with the slope, then draw the line. Generate a fresh line whenever you like.

1 Graphing Steps Lab

Press the steps in order and watch a line get built: intercept first, slope staircase second, straightedge third.

Press “New line” to begin.
A random line appears with each “New line”.

2 What to notice

Three experiments.

1. Intercept first, always

Step 1 never fails: (0, b) is one plotted point for free, no arithmetic.

2. The staircase is exact

Step 2 moves exactly run units across and rise units up — landing on a second lattice point.

3. Only step 3 draws

Until the straightedge step, you have dots, not a line. Linear means straight — no freehand curves.
