Stuck on geometry vocabulary? Get tutor help.
Tell us exactly where your vocabulary work goes off track — naming figures, classifying angles, or reading a protractor — and a tutor will walk you through the first step.
1 Quick recap
The whole skill on one card. If any line feels shaky, say so in the form below.
Points, Lines, Planes & Angle Vocabulary
- Line ↔AB: arrows on both ends, extends forever. Ray →AB: one endpoint (named first), one arrow. Segment AB: two endpoints, measurable.
- Point = 0 dimensions, line = 1 dimension, plane = 2 dimensions.
- Angles: acute (under 90°), right (= 90°), obtuse (over 90°), straight (= 180°).
- Write angles as ∠ABC with the vertex in the middle; m∠ABC is the measure.
- Protractor rule: start at 0° on the side your angle opens from — and sanity-check acute vs. obtuse.
