Common Core alignment
How FiboMap skills map to the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. We publish only mappings we can defend — gaps are marked, not hidden.
Methodology. Each mapping was checked against the CCSS-M standard text. Full means the skill sits squarely inside the standard. Partial means the skill covers part of the standard or extends slightly beyond it. Gap means we found no defensible CCSS home — usually AP, college, or cross-cutting content.

Filter by domain. Codes link to nothing yet — the standard text is summarized in the coverage note.

Known gaps
Skills with no clean CCSS mapping. We list them openly rather than stretching a standard to fit.
| FiboMap skill | Why no mapping |
|---|---|
| Word problems Gap | Cross-cutting problem-solving strategy, not a single standard. Touched by every OA/NBT/NF standard; mapped at the assignment level instead. |
| Series and summation notation Gap | Beyond CCSS — AP Calculus BC / college content. |
| Parametric equations Gap | Beyond CCSS — precalculus/college content. |
| Polar coordinates and graphs Gap | Beyond CCSS — precalculus/college content. |
| Limits, derivatives, integrals Gap | Beyond CCSS — AP Calculus AB/BC. Fibo calculus modules align to the AP Course and Exam Description instead. |
| Related rates and optimization Gap | AP Calculus AB/BC content, no CCSS equivalent. |
| Number patterns (odd/even, skip counting) Gap | Foundational pattern work feeds 3.OA.D and 4.OA.C but is not itself a standard; treated as a prerequisite skill. |
