Plotter Lab
Click anywhere on the grid to plot a point and instantly see its coordinates and quadrant. Build intuition for (x, y) order.
1 Click-to-Plot Lab
Click anywhere on the grid to drop a point. The lab reports its coordinates, its quadrant, and its distance from the origin.

2 What to notice
Three experiments.
1. Quadrants by color
Plot points in each quadrant and watch the sign pattern: (+,+) top right, (−,+) top left, (−,−) bottom left, (+,−) bottom right.
2. The axes are borders
Click exactly on an axis: the lab reports “on the x-axis” — quadrants never claim axis points.
3. Distance from origin
Points (3, 4) and (−3, −4) are both distance 5 from the origin — signs change the quadrant, not the distance.
