🍕 Fraction Visualizer
Skill goal: connect a symbolic fraction to area models (pie, bar) and the number line — see that 3/4 means the same amount everywhere.
Observe
The pie, the bar, and the number line below all show the same fraction. What stays the same when you change the numbers — and what changes?
Manipulate
Tip: you can also click a slice of the pie to set the numerator.
Pie model — the whole circle is 1
Bar model — the whole bar is 1
Number-line model — the dot sits at the fraction’s value
Predict
Before you change it, what do you think will happen? If you make the denominator bigger but keep the numerator the same, will each slice get bigger or smaller — and will the fraction get bigger or smaller?

Explain
Why it works: a fraction n/d means n equal parts out of d equal parts of one whole. The pie, the bar, and the number line all picture that same amount — and the dot on the number line always lands at n ÷ d, which is why the decimal never lies.
Challenge
1. Use the sliders (or click the pie) to show the fraction 3/4, then press Check.
2. Which fraction is bigger?
