Challenge: start at −5 and subtract −3. Where do you land?
Set start −5, operation subtract, second number −3, press Jump, then type the landing point.
What to notice: subtracting a negative walks right — the arrow turns around. That is why −5 − (−3) = −2, not −8.
Reading the arrows
Adding a positive walks right; adding a negative walks left. Subtracting flips the walk: subtracting a positive walks left, subtracting a negative walks right. The landing dot is the answer.
